Margaret Feinberg takes us on a spiritual journey that simply allows us to ask ourselves, "How can we find God?"
Certainly this is a question that nearly all of us would love to answer. Personally speaking, I know there have been countless occasions when I wished God would just speak to me directly, rather than forcing me to go to extremes to simply find out what He is supposed to be saying to me in any and all circumstances.
Mrs. Feinberg weaves her own personal life experiences to show us how we can seek the heart of God. The book is well written, and is easy to read through. This is truly for the average laymen to grasp and is simple enough for anyone to pick up and read through in short order.
The answer to the question of how do we hear from God is not necessarily answered in this book directly, but in essence, it actually is. What we should glean from this book is that God speaks to each of us in our own unique way. This is perhaps the grandest mystery of life. We all want God to shout it through the loudspeakers what our next move should be, but ultimately what Mrs. Feinberg is telling us is, "If you seek out God, He will speak to you in a way that is unique to you, and you alone."
So pick up a copy of this little gem, and then put the lessons into practice in your own life, in your own way. This book is a jumping off point to drawing you closer to the heart of God. And that is ultimately beneficial to us all.
Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from Zondervan, in exchange for this review.
